F&F Out and About

Did you know that in between the events we run for the public, members of Footwork & Frolick partner with other organizations to bring historical activities to their spaces? As we wrap up 2025, we’re taking a look back at some of the more unexpected places F&F has gone this year.

November: Exit 7 Players

F&F joined the cast of Exit 7 Players’ upcoming production of Pride and Prejudice to discuss historically-informed character movement and Regency era social dancing to bring some period authenticity to the stage. We’re looking forward to seeing the show, which opens February 6th! Tickets are available now.

April: The Mountain School

Springtime on a working farm in Vermont felt very 19th century! F&F led students through a mid-19th century ball in the library, including pre-ball crafts (homemade ballroom decorations and dance cards), ballroom etiquette, and beginner-friendly dancing.

February: Dark Whimsy LARP

F&F stepped into fairyland to host a ball in the world of Dark Whimsy as part of their charity fundraiser one-shot live action roleplay (LARP) event. The LARP team was kind enough to provide us with fairy wings, which were so fun to wear!
