Summer Reading
We spent summer in the stacks: from new scholarship to studying up for fall dancing, there’s a lot to report!
In June, we presented scholarship on dancing as a tool for community organizing in Washington, D.C. See our vlog from the conference here!
We’ve also been spending time in the archives exploring dance materials from across New England. Try out some of our new reconstructions at classes this Fall: in addition to Quadrillion, we’re offering a special round dance series on Sept. 6 and Oct 4.
Finally, we are excited to announce our final ball of the year! Join us for a Victorian Fairy Tale Ball on October 18 featuring dances of the late 19th century. Inspired by fairy tales and fantasy stories from the 1870s-1890s, we’re celebrating the season with a little magic - and costumed revelry. We hope to see you there!
